PUBLIC NOTICE

REMEMBRANCE DAY – NOVEMBER 2020

It is with regret that Crowan Parish Council must announce that the usual gathering for Remembrance Day, 8th November 2020, at the Praze-An-Beeble War Memorial cannot take place this year due to Government Covid-19 restrictions and the “Rule of 6”.

Instead, The Chairman of the Parish Council, Cllr Colin Parnell, will privately lay a wreath on behalf of the community on Armistice Day, 11th November 2020.  Other groups who usually honour the dead will be invited to similarly lay their wreaths privately and separately in keeping with the current legislation between 7th and 11th November 2020.

The names inscribed on the Memorial will be posted on the Parish notice boards and the website in honour of those who died in conflict so that we may live in freedom in our democratic United Kingdom.

A light panel depicting the unknown soldier will be lit from
1st to 14th November 2020 on the green at The Plan.
