During the current Covid-19 Pandemic the following
emergency measures have been put in place for conducting the business of the
Parish Council: –
Crowan Parish Council delegates authority to the Clerk in
consultation with the Vice Chairman (Cllr Tunnicliffe (in the absence of the
Chairman who is out of the Country) in conjunction with Cllrs Henwood and
Roberts, to take any actions necessary with associated expenditure to protect
the interests of the community and ensure council business continuity during the
period of the pandemic Coronavirus, informed by consultation with the members
of the council.
Planning
On a weekly basis – Links to all planning applications
received from the planning authority will be made available to the public on
the Parish Council’s website. The public
will be given 5 working days to submit their views in writing to the Clerk.
The Clerk or other delegated person (should the Clerk be
indisposed) emails the planning application number to their Planning Committee
Members for the Members to view online, Members email by return their comments
and their approval (support) or refusal (objection). The clerk collates
the responses, where these are evenly balanced the Chairman of the Committee
can offer a casting view. A public note be made available of the final
recommendation.

Residents of Crowan and Wendron Parishes,
During this
time of uncertainty when many of us are socially isolated I want to reassure
you that I am getting regular updates from Cornwall Council on contingency
measures and sources of help. Please let me know of activities and venues that
are closed so that I can pass them on to Cornwall Council and if you need any
help with anything or are offering a local support service please let me know
and I can pass you on to the right contacts or publicise your service.
